The only two buildings you can see are yours.

Two cabins, alone on twenty-five acres. Luray, Virginia. Opening October 2026.

Nobody overlooks you. Nothing does.

Hespera Reach is two cabins on twenty-five private acres outside Luray — a single track in, and no other roofline in any direction. You are four hundred feet above the town and five miles from it, high enough that the Blue Ridge fills the horizon from north-east right round to south, and the Massanutten ridge closes the west twelve miles across the valley.

The cabins are dark, low and deliberately quiet on the outside, so that nothing on the site competes with what's around it. Inside they are the opposite — warm, saturated, hand-painted, and built for a group that intends to stay put. Every bedroom is painted for its own name.

They are named for the two ends of a day. Aubade is a song for the morning. Nocturne is a piece for the night. Take one, or take the hill.

Aubade

East cabin — five bedrooms, sleeps ten

The morning side. Glass runs the full length of the east wall, so first light off Marys Rock arrives in the kitchen before anyone is awake. Barrel sauna and hot tub on the deck, fire pit for eight below it, and a table outside that seats ten.

Nocturne

West cabin — five bedrooms, sleeps ten

The evening side. The hot tub faces twelve miles of open valley and the Massanutten ridge behind it, which is where the sun goes down. Its own sauna, its own fire pit, its own long table. Downstairs is the games room.

Nocturne
Slot H4 · Wide · 16:9Fog filling the valley floor at sunrise with ridge tops above it. No building in frame — this image exists to prove the elevation.1920×1080 · AVIF + WebP + JPEG fallback · ≤250 KB at 1920 · file: valley-fog-sunrise

Two of everything, so nothing is ever a queue.

Each cabin has its own hot tub, its own cedar barrel sauna, its own fire pit seating eight, its own grill and its own outdoor table for ten. Nothing is shared with strangers and nothing runs in slots, because there is nobody else on the property.

Across twenty-five acres there's a bocce court, a play set for the children, mown lawn running out to the treeline, and woodland past that.

And the weather is not part of the deal.

Each cabin also has its own games and theatre room — a full-size pool table, arcade cabinets, a hundred-inch screen with the seating arranged for it, karaoke, and a poker table that stays set up. Two rooms, so when a group of twenty splits, and it always splits, nobody is waiting for a turn.

Which is why February works here, and why a wet Saturday in July is not a problem.

Fifteen minutes from the park gate.

Thornton Gap and the northern end of Skyline Drive sit five miles east. Luray Caverns and the town are five miles the other way. In between there's a river to float, five vineyards on the valley floor and a brewery on Main Street.
